Thinking of oneself as a professional and developing mutually supportive relationships with others is critical to job satisfaction for anyone working in the field of early learning and child care. We strive to provide ongoing opportunities for educators to engage in critical reflection and discussion with others about pedagogy and practice. The ECCDC offers a variety of options for you and your staff team to accomplish these goals.
Cultivating a Mentoring Culture
A mentoring program allows less experienced staff or volunteers to learn one-on-one from more experienced staff or volunteers. The mentoring pairs don’t necessarily have to be drawn from the same organization, however, in the case of larger organizations, this may be helpful. The ECCDC specializes in making mentoring partnerships successful and productive for both mentors and mentees. We offer planning and consultation, facilitation and implementation services related to mentoring. We also deliver mentoring programs on a community-wide basis.
