The ECCDC supports early learning and child care programs in offering quality environments and experiences for children.
For licensed child care programs, the ECCDC offers a Resource Lending Library; discount purchasing options; early learning environment set up advice; parent engagement strategies; marketing and financial management assistance; and a host of training opportunities. Working from home can be an isolating experience so the ECCDC makes a special effort to reach out to home child care professionals by notifying you of events that may be of interest.
Organizational and Group Performance
The ECCDC offers early learning and care programs a variety of affordable, confidential, consulting services designed to enhance the performance of their organizations, boards and staff teams. These services may be delivered directly by members of the ECCDC staff team or by another suitably qualified professional, depending on your unique situation and needs.
Needs Assessments & Reviews
- Organizational Review – The goal of an organizational review is to identify strengths and needs of an early learning and child care organization. Conducting the review may involve on‐site observation and assessment, a review of its documents, as well as group and/or individual consultations. An organizational review is often the right choice when there has been a change in ownership or leadership or the organization is facing a significant challenge, such a change in funding, significant staff or board member turnover, or low levels of parental satisfaction or student achievement.
- Self-Assessment – To help early learning and child care administrators better understand how to analyze their effectiveness, the ECCDC offers consultation and training on the use of the Program Administration Scale (Teri N. Talan & Paula Jorde Bloom).
